Happy Easter

Easter 2014: We don't remind ourselves of God's promises enough. Yesterday was Easter and after looking at our children in their Sunday's best we simply took a moment to give The Lord the praises and thanks we often take for granted. It is no doubt that we thank God daily for our children... Their health, their innocence, their happiness, etc.. But yesterday we were able to focus on just how extra special we and our children are. Not only did Jesus promise he would die and come back for us, but also that he will live for and love us forever. It was like a wake up call... Yesterday our children's smiles and laughter were yet another testimony and reminder of His truth and promise to us. Although they don't quite understand now, I pray that Jo and AddieBree will one day realize Easter is not about the jelly beans and bunnies, but rather the magnificence, sacrifice of a love that is just for them.

Another Baby!!!

No... not mine! My sister! Introducing the newest addition to our family, my nephew,  Jackson Contro. I am so in love with him and I cannot wait to meet him this Summer. They were bound to make gorgeous babies, I mean look at this couple, could they be anymore photogenic!? Ugh I just want to pinch his cheeks and squeeze his little tush. There is nothing like the love a mother has for her child, and I am so glad my sister gets this feeling. Praises, praises, and more praises to the Good Lord!

Addison is 3 Months

Our little peanut is 3 Months! Little girl loves smiling, getting tickled, and laughing at Daddy. She's starting to fill out and her little personality is becoming more noticeable. She is just an angel!

Tatum's Choice - Family Dinn

Tatum got to choose our place for dinner and her pick? Drum roll please...... APPLEBEE'S! Lol. I can't remember the last time I was at Applebee's, but man their mudslide was to die for!

Happy Hump Day!

Here's a little shine to brighten up your Hump Day. Hugs from our Redneck water park to yours.

The Apple Did Not Fall Far

Asian and Caucasian babies usually take on the Asian or darker gene and my kids were no exception, however there is no denying Shannon in them because of their mannerisms. Shannon's eyebrows are very prominent and he's passed this on to both our children, it was very apparent today.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

Okay, okay... bring on the hate mail and letters of concern. I got Addison's ears pierced. She cried for a whole 2 seconds. She was already perfect, and now she is blingy and perfect.

Just Us

I have learned so much about myself because of this man. My husband is truly my better half. I am not sure where I would be without him and I owe so much of my happiness to him.  We fight, we laugh, we make mistakes, we learn, we grow, and we love each other... Marriage is not the wedding fairy tale, and especially not the honeymoon after, but it is so amazing and so precious when you are married to the one God intended you for.

Addie's First Photo Shoot!

As promised here are some photos from Addison's newborn photo shoot! Thank you so much to Logan Frank Photography for being so patient, careful, and considerate of Addie's preciousness, and Mommy's desire for a perfect picture. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the pictures. Seeing my daughter's innocence and beauty captured in a photo was too much- by the time I finished looking at the photos I got back I was balling. Never again will Addie be as small as she is today...

There are so many more! I wish I could post them all, but there are just too many!

Military Child Month

Because feeling short changed and actually not understanding why mommy and/or daddy misses holidays and birthdays, is working too late for bedtime stories, or has to be in the field for soccer or t-ball games is harder than raising them to understand. Our military "brats" aren't brats at all, they unknowingly sacrifice and serve for this country just as much as their Daddies and Mommies. 󾬖
